It was an incredible year! It was the year David was born, the joy of our lives! It was the year we experience what we only heard about. Parenthood, one of the most amazing experience anyone can live. Maybe this is going to sound like a cliché, but it is true. There is no such a thing like being a parent. And I thank God every day for this present in our lives. David was truly the best of this year! I can tell that we experience many blessings this year, but he was the best present we received.
It was the year that we had the privilege to see my parents. It was a present from God, since we haven’t seen them since 2001. It was also the year that we became permanent residents. Following that I began my associate degree, something I have been dreaming since I arrived here. It was the year that the Assis’ family, Silveira’s, and Pereira da Silva’s family receive another member to bring joy to their lives – David.
It was also one of the most challenge years financially. It was the year we couldn’t travel anywhere. Beside all the difficulties this year brought us, we were amazed how God took care of every detail.
It was the year that God provide for David and us. And we thank God every day for His endurance love and grace.

Foi um ano incrível! O ano que o David nasceu, a alegria da nossa vida! Foi o anos que experimentamos o que apenas ouvíamos falar. A paternidade, uma das mais incríveis experiências que alguém pode viver. Talvez isso possa soar como clichê, mas é verdade. Não há tal coisa como ser pais. Eu agradeço a Deus todos os dias por esse presente em nossas vidas. David foi verdadeiramente o melhor deste ano! Eu posso dizer que experimentamos muitas bênçãos este ano, mas ele foi o melhor presente que recebemos.
Foi o ano que tivemos o privilégio de ver meus pais. Foi um presente de Deus, uma vez que não os víamos desde 2001. Foi o ano que nos tornamos residente permanente. Seguido disso eu comecei a faculdade, algo que sonhava desde que cheguei aqui. Foi o ano que a Família Assis, Silveira, e Pereira da Silva receberam mais um membro pra alegrar suas vidas – David.
Também foi um dos anos mais desafiadores financeiramente. Foi o ano que não podíamos viajar pra lugar algum. Apesar de todas as dificuldades que este ano nos trouxe, ficamos impressionados como Deus cuidou de cada detalhe.
Foi o ano em que Deus proveu pro David e pra nós. E nós agradecemos a Deus todos os dias pelo seu infinito amor e graça.
